AND THAT'S A WRAP.

After approximately 90 practices and 30 games, the season has come to an end. As a coach, I have to say that this was my most rewarding coaching experience. We had 12 boys committed to learning, and giving their all for the entire season. They were reliable, focused and willing to give 100% for the team. Thank you boys! For those trying out for U13 / U14 Sting teams or for provincial U15 squads, best of luck to you all.

On Thursday, we (those who aren't in the sunny South) will be running the Beast again, this time for speed, and an opportunity to win $12,000 for SIS athletics. We will be doing this right after school.

In the next few weeks, we will be getting together once more for an end of season dinner and a kids vs parents/coaches game. I will be in touch.

STING U13 / U14 Tryouts

Try-outs will happen next week for girls and boys U13 and U14 spring Basketball teams. If you are interested in playing but cannot attend a try-out please let the respective coach know. Assuming that the weather holds off and things go forward this week, we will depart SIS at 3:30 Monday. Roslyn, Neil and myself will transport the team. Please bring money for a Subway stop, as we will be eating there when we get to Charlottetown.

NO GAMES TODAY

UPDATE: Everything is bumped ahead another day (Thursday and Friday). Trevor is also looking at arranging a practice space for us. I will post details when I have them.

Since the Westisle family of schools has been closed for another day today, I expect that our games will be bumped again until tomorrow. As soon as I hear more, I will post it here.

Schedule changes

Because of the storm closure of Callaghan and Hernewood schools today, the AA provincials have been pushed back one day. Now the same game schedule will hold for Wednesday / Thursday.

I am trying to arrange for a practice this evening; stay tuned...
