What a great start to the season. All the boys had the chance to contribute this weekend, and Danny and I were pleased with what we saw. It allowed us to identify some things that need to be worked on, but all in all we are farther ahead than we expected to be at this point. The boys were very team-focused and got out of the gates quickly in our first two games. We had some challenges in our final game, and these will teach us to be a better team as the season progresses. This weekend's starters worked especially well together, and the rest of the team played very effectively and with confidence. A special pat on the back goes out to our game stars, Colin Arsenault, Wade Forbes and Andrew Brawn, who was also our team MVP. I'll have the practice schedule for the week posted later today.
Good work fellas,
Scott

New Glasgow Panther Prowl
We are taking a break this evening to give the boys a rest before the New Glasgow tournament. They have been putting a lot of time and effort in on the court, so a little rest may go a long way. We expect to depart from the school tomorrow at approximately 2:15. Danny Brawn, Norman Rafuse and myself will be driving the boys to Nova Scotia. We will be staying at the Comfort Inn – New Glasgow (phone 902-755-6450) if there are any emergencies. In case anyone is interested in seeing the games, we are playing at New Glasgow Junior High School, 93 Albert Street, New Glasgow, NS. There is a map on the right for both the school and hotel. The schedule is located below the map.
Our return will depend upon the results of our first two contests and our standing in the placement games. We expect the competition this weekend to be very tough and are looking forward to seeing how the boys perform in a game situation. Wish us luck!

* * * VERY IMPORTANT * * *
I have a number of forms to distribute to the boys tonight and it is imperative that they are completed and returned to me, prior to our departure for New Glasgow. Unfortunately, any player who hasn’t turned in these forms cannot accompany the team this weekend. I will be available this evening prior to and after practice to get these forms taken care of.
Thanks,
Scott
